Guided Camps

A deposit of 100 GBP is required.
This deposit is non-refundable.

Full booking balance must be paid 28 days before arrival.

If the booking is cancelled less than 42 days before arrival then a charge equal to the full booking amount will be made.
If the booking is cancelled 42 or more days before arrival then a charge (minus the £100 deposit) equal to the full booking amount will be made.

No date transfers permitted.

In the event of a no show or booking reduction (after arrival date) the full cost of the booking is charged.

Prior to the camp date, please can I ask you to fill in the form below with all emergency contact details prior to the ride. 
The form once completed you are also accepting responsibility for you and your horse on our guided rides.

Guided Ride Etiquette & Terms and Conditions

Group Riding Etiquette


  • Riders must stay together when riding in groups and follow the lead rider’s instructions at all times.

  • Riders must remain with the group unless otherwise directed by the lead rider.

  • Our lead riders will set the pace according to the slowest rider to ensure the safety and comfort of all participants.

  • Please maintain a safe distance between horses and be considerate to others at all times.

Ride Pace & Conditions


  • By booking onto a ride, all riders are expected to ride at the pace stated in the ride description.

  • Please note that the ride may be slower than advertised if the lead rider considers it unsafe to continue at the planned pace. This may be due to ground conditions, rider ability, horse behaviour, or weather.

  • We always aim to deliver the ride as described at the time of booking; however, you acknowledge and accept that the exact route, pace, and duration of any planned ride may be adjusted by the lead rider for the safety and enjoyment of all attendees.

Punctuality


  • Please inform us as soon as possible if you are running late.

  • We will wait for up to 30 minutes after the scheduled start time; after this, the ride will continue without late arrivals.

Rider & Horse Suitability


  • Before booking, please read all ride information carefully to ensure the route, pace, and terrain are suitable for both you and your horse.

  • Riders must be confident and competent in all gaits stated for the ride (walk, trot, canter, etc.).

Safety Requirements


  • All riders must wear an approved riding hat conforming to current safety standards.

  • Hi-viz clothing must be worn by all riders and horses.

  • The ride leader’s instructions must be followed at all times for your safety and that of others.

  • We reserve the right not to lead or continue a ride if the lead rider deems it unsafe to do so, whether due to rider ability, horse behaviour, or external conditions.

Cancellations by Riders


  • No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 72 hours of the ride date.

  • For cancellations made earlier than 72 hours, please contact us directly to discuss options.

Cancellations by Unthank Equestrian


  • We reserve the right to cancel any ride at any point.

  • Refunds in such cases will be issued at our discretion.

  • If we deem the weather or conditions to be unfit or unsafe, a full refund will be given.

Responsibility


  • By booking, you acknowledge that you are participating at your own risk and accept full responsibility for yourself, your horse, and any equipment or tack used.

Car Park & Cleanliness


  • Please be respectful of our facilities and other users.

  • Pick up after your horse and do not leave any mess, hay, or litter in the car park or surrounding areas

Camp FAQs

What facilities is there?

We have an eco loo, hot running shower, small honesty shop and small shared kitchen area.

Where will my horse stay?

In a secure individual paddock, right in front of where you camp!

Is there anything in the local area?

Yes, we have multiple pubs a short drive away, or a nice walk if you fancy.

Unthank cross country course is next door and available to hire during your stay.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, there is an additional cost of £15 and they need to be well-behaved and on a lead.
