Apperknowle Bridleways

The Apperknowle area, which is just the next little village to Dronfield has a world of unknown bridleways and we have found just a few of them and we would like to share them with you.

The ride is approx 3.5 miles and does include road work, with one of the roads being a 50 mph road. Now dont be put off because it is a large road and drivers can see you from every direction and they do slow for horse riders.

This particular road does then lead us to a lovely bridleway, with the chance of a lovely canter.

Great under foot, feels almost sand like, great for barefooters too.

This circular route will be roughly an hours ride. What this ride does offer is a lovely pub very close by, that when the ride finishes we can organise a very tasty Cheese board platter (based on 2 people sharing) before travelling home.

The cheeseboard includes 3 different flavours of cheese, crackers, pickles, butter & pickled onions. It will be a lovely finish to your ride.

Parking is amazing. Large field area, with mounting block and water and can accommodate larger lorries for just £5 per rider, payable by cash on arrival.

Meeting time is 10am, with the aim to be onboard for 10.30am
