Friday–Sunday Guided Riding Camp for Confident Young Riders

Join us for three unforgettable days of riding, adventure and fun at our Children’s Guided Riding Camp, designed specifically for confident riders aged 12–16 (off lead rein) who love being out exploring with their ponies.

Set in the heart of the Peak District, this camp combines long guided rides, cross-country fun, camping with your pony, and plenty of laughs along the way — the perfect mini riding holiday.

🐎 Day 1 – Friday | Chatsworth Estate Ride

Meet at 10am for an incredible guided ride around the Chatsworth Estate.
Approx. 9.6 miles
Around 3 hours riding
Varied terrain: stony tracks, woodland, open grassy fields
Walk, trot & canter
Livestock, walkers & cyclists likely
Ice cream stop at Edensor Tea Rooms 🍦
After the ride, you’ll return to camp to settle ponies and unpack for the night.

🐎 Day 2 – Saturday | Farm Ride, Moorland & Cross Country
Morning (10am): Guided ride from the farm through woodlands and up onto the moorlands
⏱ Approx. 2 hours
Afternoon : Back in the saddle for an hour of cross-country fun

🐎 Day 3 – Sunday | Moorland Adventure & Picnic Ride
10am start
Guided ride up onto the moors with stunning views towards Curbar Edge
Passing Barbrook Reservoir
Approx. 9.6 miles / 3 hours
Picnic stop included 🧺
Opportunities for great canter tracks where ground allows
Some roadwork and a short crossing of a busy A-road (wide verges, carefully managed)

🏕️ Camping & Facilities
You’ll camp alongside your pony in secure individual paddocks — waking up to your pony in the field is all part of the magic ✨
On-site facilities include:
Secure individual paddocks (running water)
Compost loo
Hot running shower
Small shared kitchen area (basic pots & pans)
Off-grid site (no electricity, small solar charging point)
Space for tents, trailers & lorries
Dogs welcome (small additional fee)

📍 Location: Holmesfield, S18 (Peak District)

⚠️ Please note:
7.5-ton lorries may need to park slightly away from the paddocks. Small boxes and lorries can park nearby.

£235 per rider – Camping (tent / trailer / lorry)
£265 per rider – On-site touring caravan

🧾 Booking & Payment Information
£100 non-refundable deposit required to secure your place
Final balance due 6 weeks before camp start date
An invoice will be sent once the deposit is paid
