🌿 1–1 Guided Hacking for Confidence & Partnership

Our 1–1 Guided Confidence Hack Programme is a structured 6-week riding programme designed to support both horse and rider in building confidence, trust and enjoyment out hacking.

Each ride is 1–1, calm, supportive and tailored specifically to you and your horse — with experienced guides and confident lead horses throughout.


🐴 Programme Structure – 6 Weekly 1–1 Rides

This programme runs over 6 consecutive Fridays, with a clear progression from familiar local riding to well-known Peak District locations.

🕒 Ride duration: approx. 1.5–2 hours
📏 Distance: approx. 3–5 miles per ride


Weeks 1–3: Tash & Tula – Holmesfield / Edge of the Peak District

Dates:

  • Friday 6th March

  • Friday 10th April

  • Friday 17th April

What these rides include:

  • Riding on the edge of the Peak District

  • Bridleways, woodlands & moorland routes

  • Roadwork taken calmly and at your pace

  • Livestock exposure on all rides

  • Tractors and large machinery may be encountered

  • Gate opening and positioning support

  • Exposure to dog walkers, walkers & motorbikes

  • Varied terrain to build confidence gradually

  • Beautiful views across the Peaks, including towards Curbar Edge

Tash & Tula are absolutely confident in all situations, making them ideal for steady confidence-building rides.

  • Experiencing well-known Peak District routes without pressure

Muddle is extremely confident in all environments, making him an excellent confidence-building partner.

All parking locations:

  • Have been used many times for our guided rides

  • Are hard-base parking areas (not grass)

  • Offer plenty of space for manoeuvring

  • Are suitable for trailers and horseboxes


Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need my own horse?

Yes — all 1–1 rides are for riders attending with their own horse.

Is this suitable for nervous riders?

Absolutely. These sessions are specifically designed to support riders and horses who need calm, confidence-building rides.

What pace are the rides?

All rides are walk-focused, with pace adjusted to suit you and your horse.

Will we meet traffic or livestock?

Yes — all routes include exposure to traffic, livestock and public access areas, handled calmly and supportively.

What happens if the weather is unsuitable?

If weather conditions are unsafe, sessions will be rescheduled where possible.

How long is each ride?

Rides are approximately 3–5 miles and take 1.5–2 hours, depending on the route and individual needs.

We understand that booking rides like this can feel like a big step, especially if you or your horse are rebuilding confidence. Our aim is always to be supportive, fair and flexible where possible, while also protecting the small business behind the scenes.

🐴 Your Ride Experience

  • These are 1–1 guided rides, tailored to you and your horse

  • We go at your pace, not a set agenda

  • It’s absolutely okay to start quietly, take breaks, or adjust plans on the day

  • Routes may include roadwork, livestock and other countryside users, but everything is approached calmly and with support

💷 Booking & Payments

  • The full 6-week programme costs £500

  • You can pay:

    • In full

    • Via Klarna (instalments)

    • Or by £100 deposit (by arrangement – please contact us first)

  • If paying a deposit, the remaining balance is due 4 weeks before the first ride

📅 If Plans Change

  • Deposits are non-refundable

  • Cancellations within 4 weeks of the first ride date are non-refundable

  • If you or your horse are unwell or injured, we ask for a doctor’s or vet’s note so we can consider a refund

  • If another rider can take your full place and dates, we may be able to offer a refund — this isn’t guaranteed, but we will always try to help where we can

  • If weather or ground conditions are unsafe, we will reschedule the ride

  • Your safety and your horse’s welfare always come first
