A brilliant shorter ride — perfect for riders who want Peak District magic without a long time in the saddle. Walk and trot throughout on lovely flat well maintained paths with plenty of trotting opportunities 🌿

Jenny and Breeze lead a small group on this stunning short route at Ladybower Reservoir — guided directly up to the reservoir head with breathtaking views across the water and surrounding Peak District hills 🌄

The route is predominantly flat and level on well maintained concrete paths — brilliant underfoot and great for steady trotting. There is one steep rocky section where the path rises sharply — horses generally ride this with ease but we like to make you aware in advance so there are no surprises! 🌿

There is a small amount of road work including one road crossing — please ensure your horse is traffic confident and hi viz is worn 🌿

Your horse must be comfortable with:
