Monsal Trail Guided Ride - Nervous & Novice

This is a lovely steady, circular ride with varied terrain, stacks of lovely scenery, it does have gates, but they are horse friendly and our gate masters Lizzie & Muddles will be on hand to open them for you.

We meet at Hassop Station for this one at 10am, (please note Saturday 22nd Oct ride will meet for 9am) which is really easy parking and only £3.50 and allows cash and card for up to 3 hours & not forgetting the great cafe there.

There isn't a mounting block, please bring along your own.

We head to the River Wye, which we dont cross, its totally optional to have a splash or a drink for the horses.

This ride is a SLOW PACED for riders who would like to take it steady.

Our aim is to hopefully help make riders, feel more confident in different situations and places.

There is a small amount of road work.

Please also note - there is a short path, which is, steep, stoney and uneven. This doesn't last for long.

Livestock can also bee seen over walls in the adjacent fields.

The ride is roughly 1 - 1/2 hours depending on speed.

All horses & riders must be confident on road and on grassy tracks.

The Monsal Trail is a popular place for walkers etc.

Our group size is four riders, plus the lead rider.
