There's something absolutely magical about riding out onto the Peak District moor on a Saturday morning — the week is done, the moor is waiting and there is honestly nowhere better to be on horseback. 🌄🐴

The Big Moor sits right on the edge of the Peak District National Park, just minutes from Holmesfield — and if you've never ridden up there, you are in for an absolute treat. It's one of those places that takes your breath away every single time.

This is a ride for riders who love wide open spaces, big skies and the kind of freedom that only comes from being out on horseback in truly wild countryside. Laura knows every inch of this moor — it's her territory — and she cannot wait to share it with you. 🌄

You'll cover roughly 9 miles across some of the most breathtaking terrain in the Peak District — past Barbrook Reservoir with stunning views over Curbar Edge. The tracks are varied and characterful — some smooth, some stoney and rocky — which makes it interesting for both horse and rider.

There are long stretches where the ground opens up beautifully — with plenty of opportunity for long trots and canters, and for those feeling bold, maybe even a spot of galloping too! 🐴💨

And to finish? You'll ride back through our beautiful private 4-mile farm ride here at Unthank Hall Farm — the perfect way to round off a brilliant Saturday morning in the saddle. 🌿

This is a small, intimate group of just 4 riders so it stays personal and sociable — and Laura will manage the pace to suit everyone on the day.
